There is a lot of information and programmes out there today on Wellness, Mindfulness and Corporate Wellbeing. Though these are useful areas to help us deal with the symptoms of pressure and stress, they do not deal with the cause i.e. what is bringing it on. If we are serious about dealing with the ever-growing pressures in our lives, we need to work on areas such as:
-‘resigning as master of the universe’: stop trying to be all things to all people
– ‘avoiding perfectionism’: we can only do the best we can, with the time and resources we have
– focus on what we can control and forget about what we can’t.
If we don’t deal with the cause, we will be forever be dealing with the symptoms.
