One area I look at a lot of clients doing is getting them to ‘hold up the mirror’.
We all have blind spots, and if we don’t find out what these blind spots are they can be career-limiting for us in the marketplace today.
One of the exercises I would get clients to complete is to get them to go through some of their key structured questions with their key stakeholders.
- If you were recommending me to someone else, what three specific things would you say about me?
- What two things if I stopped doing or done more of, I would be much more effective in the role that I am in?
- What two specific skills areas do I need to work on to position me for more senior roles?
- What is the one overall strength that you see in me?
