We are in ‘lockdown again’.
Our bars, restaurants, gyms and retail shops are closed.
There are no sporting events or concerts that we can attend.
We now have ‘increased discretionary time’.
Even if we are working from home, apart from going for a walk or trying to get our children to do their school work.
There is not a lot else we can do with our time.
Many of my clients and friends are telling me that they are bored.
Boredom can occur when we feel energetic but have nowhere to direct our energy.
It can be marked by an empty feeling, as well as a sense of frustration.
We may have a limited attention span and lack of interest in what’s happening around us.
We may feel apathetic, fatigued or nervous.
Boredom can also have its benefits.
We can look at it as a ‘call to action’, to get focused on what’s really important to us.
Are you prepared to take self-responsibility and look at what you can do today to contribute towards your goals in life?
What have you been putting off doing that you now have the time to do?
Build your personal brand, learn a new skill, read a book!
What can you do ‘to get your car out of the garage?’
To be ‘bored’ or not to be ‘bored’ that is the question!
