One of my favourite movies of all time is ‘Officer and a Gentleman’.

Richard Gere walks into the factory at the end, to sweep Deborah Winger into his arms.

The song, ‘Up where we belong’, from Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes, starts playing.

The words of this song are more profound today than at any other time…

“The road is long, there are mountains in our way, but we climb a step every day”

Many of us dealing with stress in our lives worry about:

What will happen next?

What will have changed?

What will be different?

This can overwhelm us, but if we take the advice of Mr. Cocker and Miss Warnes of ‘climbing a step every day’, the future will not look so daunting.

What ‘one step can you take today, to prepare you for what lies ahead?
